CFPB v. Timemark Solutions, Inc., et al.

The CFPB sued and reached a settlement with Timemark Solutions, Inc.

On July 7, 2020, the CFPB settled with Timemark, Inc., a company that provides debt-relief services to consumers with federal student-loan debt. The Bureau alleged that the defendants charged illegal advance fees, in violation of the Telemarketing Sales Rule (TSR), to consumers who were seeking to to alter the terms of their loans. Payments totaling over $3.5 million will be mailed to 7,185 consumers affected in this matter.
